Our 65 mm bars are crafted in the Netherlands with woodworking expertise handed down since 1932, delivering lasting quality, precise joints and excellent stability.

Made from premium spruce, carefully selected and triple-laminated to minimise warping. The timber is 100% PEFC-certified (CU-PEFC-807830). Thanks to the tongue-and-groove joint, assembly is quick and clean — no glue or nails required. Wedges are always included free of charge.

Oils, acrylics, tempera or watercolour — a solid foundation matters. These 65 mm bars provide a professional base that lasts.

Sold individually = full flexibility

Because bars are sold per piece, you can build any frame size — standard or custom.

Examples:

• 108 × 150 cm → order 2 × 108 + 2 × 150 cm. For near-square formats, add a cross brace.
• 53 × 120 cm → order 2 × 53 + 2 × 120 cm + 53 cm centre brace.
• 100 × 80 cm → order 2 × 100 + 2 × 80 cm (usually no brace required).

Available online up to 2 metres. Longer lengths on request. Frames over 2 metres are typically built with a double cross.

When to use a centre brace

From 50 cm upwards, our bars feature a pre-cut slot for a brace. Add a centre brace when the longest side > 120 cm or for elongated rectangular canvases.

When to use a cross brace

Choose a cross brace when both height and width > 100 cm and the canvas is (almost) square. Two braces interlock like a puzzle and slot into the frame.

Important

Note: 65 mm bars and accessories are not compatible with 45 mm.
